Joining the Credit Union could be one of the best decisions you make when it comes to your finances. Our Credit Union lets people in the community come together to save and borrow money at low rates, and is operated on a not-for-profit basis.

Adult Members (16+)

  • Proof of ID - Drivers License / Passport (in date).
  • Proof of Address - Household Bill / Bank Statement dated within 6 months.
  • Proof of PPSN - Payslip, Revenue Correspondence, EHIC Card. Please Note the green Public Service Card is not an acceptable form of ID.
  • A minimum lodgement of €10 on the day.

Juvenile Members (Under 16's)

  • Proof of ID - Birth Certificate
  • Parent / Guardians Proof of Address - Household Bill / Bank Statement dated within 6 months.
  • Juveniles PPSN - Revenue correspondence concerning the Child Benefit Payment, PPSN confirmation letter (received as a baby).
  • Parent / Guardians PPSN - Payslip, Revenue Correspondence, Medical Card, EHIC Card, Drug Payment Scheme Card. Please Note the green Public Service Card is not an acceptable form of ID.
  • Minimum lodgement of €10 on the day.

You can become a member of Blarney Credit Union is you live or work in the following areas, Blarney, Grenagh, Cloghroe, Donoughmore, Whitechurch, Tower, Aghabollogue, Dripsey, Rylane, Kerry Pike & Inniscarra.

If you are opening more than one account you must make an appointment. We cannot facilitate walk in appointments for multiple accounts. Please contact the office on 021 4381149 extension 3 to make an appointment.

What are the Savings Limits
  • Maximum monthly lodgement limit is €2,500 for adult accounts.
  • Maximum monthly lodgement limit is €2,500 for juvenile account.
  • Maximum savings limit on adult accounts is €25,000
  • Maximum savings limit for juvenile accounts is €10,000.
