May Day Bank Holiday - SEPA Payment Notice
Please note that due to the European May Day Bank Holiday on Friday, 1st May 2026, there will be no processing of SEPA standard payments or Direct Debits by the European Banking Authority on this date.
Sepa Instant payments will continue as normal and you can carry out these instant transaction on this date.
While credit unions and banks are open in Ireland on that day, the European holiday means that standard electronic payments in Euro cannot be made to bank accounts in Ireland or anywhere else across Europe.
To avoid any inconvenience, we recommend that members make any important outgoing or incoming payments early.
All SEPA payment processing cycles will apply from Monday 4th May'26.
