Job Title: Member Services Officer

Position Type: Part-Time

Blarney Credit Union Limited is a growing credit union serving over 9,900 members, with offices in Blarney and Donoughmore.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Member Services Officer to join our team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an excellent standard of service to members of Blarney Credit Union and performing a range of supporting duties.

We have an opportunity to join our team on an 18.5-hour contract.

The hours of work are: Tuesday 09.00 to 17.15, Friday 09.15 to 17.15 and Saturday 09.15 to 12.30.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Providing services to members including lodgements, withdrawals, foreign exchange transactions and loan repayments.
  • Accurately and competently handling cash; reconciling cash balances daily.
  • Assisting members and providing details on the range of services offered by the credit union.
  • Completing loan applications with members.
  • Updating member information and ensuring the database is maintained to a high standard.
  • Scanning and filing and other administrative tasks.
  • Participate in periodic project work in support of wider objectives across the organisation.
  • To undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by your supervisor.
  • Undertake relevant training as deemed necessary by the credit union.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and the role may develop and change to meet the overall objectives of the Credit Union.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a frontline role within a credit union or other financial institution would be a distinct advantage.
  • Relevant qualification such as QFA, CUA or Pathways Diploma is desirable.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Team worker with strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Full Driver’s license
